We established our CATFISHING business in Feb. 2002. We were the first company to operate and offer a fully all in fishing holiday from airport pick up to airport return.

CATFISHING THE EBRO was our dream and we wanted to pass our experience on to our guests who many of them had never fished for the mighty WELS CATFISH before.

We found the the river EBRO also held a large head of wild CARP in pristine condition unlike the lake CARP of the uk. Since we arrived in 2002 I have reached pension age and therefore have reduced the number of hours worked therefore reduced the cost of a holiday with us.

We only fish legally. By that I mean you will definately have a fishing licence and day ticket handed to you on your first day, You will only be using legally allowd baits. As an angler all my life I am concerned with catching fish with methods that are allowed. I get no pleasure from catching with dodgy methods. If your after the big fish at any price any way we are not for you. Conservation is our priority.

This untamed and unspoiled waterway boasts many species of fish including CARP, Zander and of course the mighty Wels Catfish The River Ebro is perfect for all kinds of anglers. So many angling holidays are on stocked waters and in poor locations. THE CATALAN EXPERIENCE offers you the opportunity to fish for truly wild Carp and Catfishing their natural environment. the River Ebro is famous for it's huge Wels CatfishThese incredible specimens grow to in excess of 2 metres in length and can weigh in at over 200 lbs. You will have the opportunity to fish for these monsters from the bank or boat, depending on which package you choose. The venue record stands at 165lbs.

Because of the beautiful climate ( unlike many venues )   THE CATALAN EXPERIENCE is open all year round. During our winter time, the temperature is regularly between a comfortable 10' to 15' c ideal for fishing. This makes us a perfect venue for your winter break where you can enjoy good fishing with no rain or iced up gear. In fact one of our best times for Catfishing is the Autumn months. Although Cats can be caught all year round.

Over the past 6 years our guides have been constantly surveying the river and hasve gained a knowledge unrivalled by most other  companies in this area. Based in RIBA ROJA they know the hot spots and note the changes in the river which can change over night, especially if the dams have been opened. for this reason we have combined our efforts to ensure that you have the best chance of catching that fish of a lifetime.  Previous Catfishing experience is not required when fishing with THE CATALAN EXPERIENCE. The guide will help you with everything from tactics and choosing the right bait through to showing you how to handle the fish when landing and photographing your catch. If it's 200 lb you will be glad of the help.
